Quick Trip to Moulton

I've been a little behind on blogging lately due to a sick baby (3rd ear infection in the last 4 months...ugh) and work. But, we left after work on Friday for a quick visit to Moulton. We discovered Kate's new favorite toy is a ball. Gran kept trying to get Kate to play with the doll, but had no interest. The ball was much more entertaining! We also popped in to make a quick visit with Kate's great grandparents, MawMaw & PawPaw. She loved the little kid-size rocking chairs. She wanted to rock in it just like Ruby!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!

I love you Daddy!

What's For Dinner? Um...Dogfood?

After I fed Mattie on Wednesday, I heard Kate in the laundry room with her. When I went in there and picked up her, I suddenly heard Kate crunching on something in her mouth. Yep, she had a couple pieces of dogfood in her mouth going to town on them. I fished all of the remaining Eukanuba out of her mouth and hands. The next evening, I was feeding Mattie again, and Kate was right in there trying to get more dogfood out of her bowl. When I pulled her hand out of the bowl, she started licking her hand to eat the dogfood crumbs....yuck!

Almost Here!

We hosted a baby shower for Lindsey on Thursday night. It won't be long until Baby Blake makes his arrival!

Look Who's Walking!

Over the weekend, Kate started feeling more adventurous with taking mulitple steps. By Monday morning, she had it figured out. She's still pretty wobbly, but she loves tooling around now on her feet. She's had lots going on since we got back last week. We've weaned her off bottles and only taking sippy cups. She also went to the doctor yesterday with an ear infection. It's been a busy past couple of days for her.

Take Me Back To Paradise, Literally...

For our 5th wedding anniversary and my 30th birthday, Sam surprised me with a trip to Anguilla (i.e. paradise) for a few days. And just where is this little slice of heaven, you ask...it's about a 40 minute boat ride off the coast of St. Maarten. (I had no clue where it was when I first found out.) It was by far the nicest, most relaxing and stress free place we have ever been. We ventured off the resort for pretty much all of our meals and found Anguilla to be the nicest and safest place we've experienced. Not to mention, the food on the island was nothing short of amazing. However, now that we are back in Birmingham, all that we have left to remind us of this amazing trip are lots and lots of pictures! We missed Kate terribly, but we're already planning our next trip back to Anguilla, Heaven on Earth. Thanks for a great trip!

(Side note: We ran into Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart having drinks at sunset one evening, then the following day at a restaurant, we ran into them again and were seated next to their table again. Very cool to be sitting next to Indiana Jones and Ally McBeal two days in a row.)
