Dinner Anyone?

Kate decided she and Mattie were going to eat together yesterday. Things were going well until Mattie tried to eat the fork. Kate quickly informed Mattie that chewing on forks was a big "no-no!" Thanks Kate for teaching Mattie table etiquette.

Earrings!

I came upstairs one night to lots of giggles and Kate came running to me saying, "Look Mommy!" Apparently, she decided she wanted to wear Mrs. Potato Head's earrings. So with a little help from daddy, Kate was sporting some bright yellow earrings. As cute as they were on, we can't do it anymore due to the large red marks it left on her ears!

Our Little Party Girl

Kate had lots of fun at her birthday party on Saturday. She's been into "bugs" lately, so we had a ladybug birthday party. When she wasn't entertaining the grandparents with her gymnastics moves, she was busy coloring, blowing bubbles, and loving on Price (1 year her junior!). We were all worn out after all the cake, ice cream, ladybug pinata and birthday fun! Notice that there's a blue snake in a lot of the pictures. She got it out of the pinata and hasn't put it down since. Hope you had a great weekend Katebug!

2 Year Old Stats

Kate had her 2 year old check-up on Friday. She's still in the 98th percentile in height, but only 50th percentile in weight. (35" tall & 28 lbs) We're pretty sure she's going to be tall like Sam. During the visit, she was wide open in the exam room. She discovered the step-stool and was non-stop climbing up and down on the exam table.

Visit from Grandpa & Linda

Grandpa & Linda came in town to help celebrate Kate's birthday. She had so much fun watching movies with Grandpa and playing at the park with Linda. Thanks for helping celebrate such a great weekend! (Sorry, I forgot to get a group photo this weekend!)

What A Fun Birthday!

We had such a fun day on Kate's birthday. First, I brought cupcakes to Kate's class. After her class party, we stopped by the park and played for a while. After the park, we met Sam for a birthday dinner at Zoes which Kate thoroughly enjoyed. Finally, we headed back to the house for birthday presents & cupcakes. It was such a fun afternoon!

Egg Hunting with the Experts

We ended Easter Sunday with a visit to the James' for an Easter Egg Hunt and a mini-birthday celebration. Kate did well collecting some eggs with a little help from Sam. Daniel and Laura Ann were experts at finding eggs! You'll have a little more competition with Kate next year! Gran brought her special bunny cake for the grandkids to decorate. Also, a special thanks for Kate's early birthday present! She LOVES her bug puzzle and knows exactly what to do with her bug cars.

Easter Service

It was such a beautiful Easter Sunday! We had a great service and afterwards, Kate helped put flowers on the Easter Cross. After church, we had a little Easter Egg Hunt at our house to get Kate ready for the next egg hunt with Daniel and Laura Ann.

The Easter Bunny Came!

When Kate came down stairs on Easter and saw her basket full of stuff, she let out a huge gasp with her mouth wide open. She was so sweet and checked out everything in her basket.

Mouth full of candy!

Rain, Rain Go Away

We had talked and talked to Kate about going to the Easter Eggstravaganza in our neighborhood where she was going to have an Easter Egg Hunt, meet the Easter Bunny, and do Build-A-Bunny. However, right before we left, it started raining. Needless to say, we had one sad, sobbing little girl. However, I couldn't resist posting some of the Pre-Egg Hunt pictures where Kate was full of anticipation.
