Dancing Queen

Kate had her second dance class Tuesday night and she was excited to show Sam her "moves" when she got home.

Waiting for class to start.

And more dancing...

Sunday Outtakes

Kate is at the age where I have a hard time getting a posed, natural smile. Here's a few of the silly smiles that I got before church Sunday morning.

My Ballerina

Kate started dance lessons last night and she love, love, loves it. Her and Reese could not contain themselves before class! She loves both her tap & ballet shoes.

So excited!

Birthday Party Doubleheader!

Kate had two birthday parties on Saturday to celebrate. First was sweet Bailey's 1st Birthday party. She was so precious getting into the festivities with cake and presents. The second party of the day was a gymnastics party celebrating Egan's 3rd Birthday. Such a fun day celebrating with all of the kiddos!

Happy First Birthday, Bailey!

We're Back....

I finally got a chance to update the blog with the latest happenings from the Comptons. This month has been crazy starting with Kate getting a stomach bug three weeks ago, Sam getting the same stomach bug a week later, then spending last week in the hospital with Sam. Surely, our lives will slow down for a while! I vow to try and do better since it takes forever to catch up on blogging after skipping a month. Here's what's been going on with us in July.

Birthday Fun

With our household finally starting to return to some normalcy, I took Kate to McWane Center for Jillian's 3rd Birthday Party. We had so much fun! Kate and her friend Reese are absolutely inseparable. If one of them rode the Zip Line exhibit, the other one had to as well. They are two peas in a pod.

Happy Birthday Jillian

Going down the Zip Line!

Zip Line for the 3rd time!

Wild Weekend

Last weekend, Grandmama & I took Kate to the zoo while Sam played golf in the morning. Little did we know that the wild animals at the zoo was only the beginning of our "wild" weekend! When we got home from the zoo and Sam got home from golf, he got severely ill due to a small complication from his surgery and ended up spending the next four days in the hospital. Not exactly how the thought the weekend would go!

Kate spent last Sunday at Grandmama's house while I was up at the hospital all day. Not only did Grandmama send home dinner with Kate, she also sent some yummy cupcakes home with Tigger & Eeyore. It was a nice little bright spot in an otherwise exhausting day.

Late Bloomer

Normally my gardenia plants put out all of their blooms by June. However, this little bud decided to hold out and bloom two weeks ago.

Time Out!

Kate had to put two of her babies in time out for misbehaving. Maybe they've learned their lesson and said they're sorry to each other!

Popsicles for a Sick Girl

Kate woke up a few weeks ago with a stomach virus and mild fever. After throwing up a few times and sleeping the entire day on the couch, poor Kate was pitiful. We had a nice surprise that afternoon when a package from Grandpa & Linda came in the mail! It was a popsicle maker and it couldn't have arrived at a better time! We made "orange" citrus juice popsicles and it made this sick little girl feel a whole lot better! Since then we have tried several other popsicles, but she LOVES the "orange" popsicles (orange juice & pineapple juice) the best. We've enjoyed popsicles almost every night for the past three weeks.

The First Batch of Popsicles..

More popsicles....

and more popsicles... or in this case fudgesicles!

4th of July in Houston

We headed out to Houston again this year for the 4th of July to spend a long weekend with Grandpa & Linda. The pictures below pretty much sum up the trip for Kate. All she wanted to do was swim, swim, and swim some more!
