A Visit With Santa

Kate went to see Santa this afternoon and she was so excited! She couldn't wait to tell him exactly what she wanted - "pink presents!" The only disappointment was at the end when she thought that she was going to get a present right then. We had to explain that "Ho-Ho" will come to our house on Christmas Eve if she's been good. After that, nothing that some Mac & Cheese at the Food Court couldn't cure!

O, Christmas Tree

We took off Friday morning before the Iron Bowl to get the perfect Christmas tree (from Lowe's). It was absolutely freezing! - and raining. Therefore we just got the Christmas tree closest to the register and off we went. Fortunately, it turned out to be a really pretty tree! Maybe next year I can get some pics of the tree selection process from the Home & Garden Section! ha!

Bundled up & ready to go!

Caught in the act!

Sweet Cousins

Over Thanksgiving, we took some pictures for Gran's Christmas card. Here's a few of the outtakes. They were so sweet together and had so much fun! All of the funny laughs and giggles were at the expense of Papa dancing in the background to get some smiles. Kate kept screaming, "Shake Your Booty Papa!" as loud as she could. They are so funny!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for in our household this year. We went to Gran & Papa's house in Moulton for a great Thanksgiving lunch, then next door to Mawmaw & Pawpaw's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Thanksgiving would not be complete without lots of swinging in the backyard and a little game of football. Happy Turkey Day!

Not so sure about the tire swing.

Thanksgiving Cookies

First of all, I can't believe it's already the end of November and this is my first blog post of the month! Fall has absolutely flown by! Hopefully with the holidays coming up, I will do better at updating the blog.
Kate and I made some pumpkin cookies to share with Daniel & Laura Ann for Thanksgiving at Gran & Papa's. Aside from eating the finished product, Kate discovered just how wonderful raw cookie dough really is. She would sneak bites every chance she got. Yum!

Waiting patiently for me to get the obligatory "Cookie Picture" over with so she could dig in!
