Our First Visit to the Dentist!

Kate had her first trip to the dentist this morning and she did great! She got to do a handprint on a ceiling tile so that the next time she comes in, she'll have to look for her handprint in the office. She did so great getting her teeth x-rayed, but wasn't quite sure about the teeth cleaning. After that, she just laid back and watched a Disney movie that was playing on the tv above her chair. When she got a good report and her goodie bag full of tooth brushes, tooth paste, stickers, etc., she kept saying, "This is so cool! This was so much fun!" Yay for a great first trip to the dentist.

Checking out the equipment.

Princess Kate

There maybe a more high-profile Princess across the pond, but this is the only Princess at our house.

Daniel's Special Day

After Easter Service at our church we headed over to Trussville to the James' church service for Daniel's baptism. It was so special! After his baptism, all three cousins sat next to each other in "big church" and had a ball. (Hopefully the people around us didn't mind too much!) We then had a wonderful Easter lunch and another Easter egg hunt. By the time we left, I think all three were loaded up on sugar and no nap for delirious Kate!

Easter Service

After the egg hunting was over, we headed to church for Easter Service. I don't know what it is - the music, the flowers, or the sermon - but it is always my favorite.

Showing me where she put her flower.

The Easter Bunny

We were so into the Easter Bunny this year at our house. We set out all of the eggs Kate dyed along with a plate of carrots and a note to EB himself. She worked so hard coloring and adding stickers to the note so that the Easter Bunny would bring her "chocolate." (That's all she kept saying she wanted from him!) She was ecstatic to find a chocolate "criss-cross" in her basket.

Slathering on Princess Lip Gloss.

Dancing Queen

Kate loves her tutu bathing suit that she got from Grandpa & Linda last year. She discovered it last weekend and it was a hit! She helped wash the car in it, took a nap in it, went to friends' house in it, and wanted to wear it out to dinner, but that's when it finally had to come off.

Easter Bunny Cake

Our sweet neighbors surprised Kate with an Easter Bunny cake. Thank you so much Currin & Baby Cameron for the treat!

Baseball with the Barons

Sam's work had Family Night at the Birmingham Baron's baseball game last Thursday. Kate had a blast eating ballpark food, running around with the other kids and taking in the game.

3 Year Old Stats

Last Tuesday, Kate had her 3 year old check-up. She always loves going to the doctor but little did she know, she had a finger prick and two shots coming. She was so brave during the finger prick and asked, "why did the nurse have to do that and make my finger bleed?" After that, she knew what was coming with round two and her two shots. By the time we left the doctor's office, the lollipop and sticker made things much better. Not to mention, she told everyone of her battle wounds from the doctor's office for several days. I still felt so bad for her that I took her out for ice cream and later dyed Easter Eggs after dinner.

Of course my camera battery died while at the doctor's office, so all I have are pictures of dying the eggs. She weighed in at 30 lbs and 37" tall. She's really slimming down but is still tall for her age.

Springtime

We spent most of yesterday afternoon either at the park or playing in the driveway. Kate's new thing is to just lay in the grass and soak up this nice weather. I don't blame you sweet girl!

Visit to the Easter Bunny

Kate could hardly wait to go see the Easter Bunny! She told him she wanted chocolate in her eggs this year. Our trip this year to visit the EB was much better than the first time she met him! I get so sentimental looking back at some of these pictures. Where has my baby gone?? On a side note, Kate packed her backpack for her trip to see the Easter Bunny. When she showed me what all she put in there, I couldn't help but giggle to myself. She packed her giraffe slippers, a pair of "Fancy Nancy" panties, a crown, and her new cherry-flavored chapstick. A girl can never be too prepared!

Cruisin'

Kate loved her Barbie Jeep that she got for her birthday! She took "baby" for multiple spins around the driveway.

Party Time!

We had Kate's "Easter" Birthday Party on Saturday. She was so surprised when she found out she had a Bouncing Castle at her birthday party that morning. After lots of bouncing and cake eating, we had an Easter Egg Hunt in which the kids ate the jelly beans as fast as they were finding the eggs. We hope you had a great birthday Kate!

Birthday Fun

For Kate's birthday, we started out the day opening presents followed by a trip to the zoo. After covering the zoo all morning, we headed over to lunch at Davenports Pizza. I don't know about Kate, but Sam and I enjoyed her birthday lunch! Once we got home, Grandpa and Linda flew in town to help celebrate the birthday weekend. We ended the day by going out for "Chips & Salsa" (Mexican food), more cupcakes and presents. What a fun day!

Looking good Rapunzel.
