Kate the Kangaroo

Kate was the cutest kangaroo for Halloween. She loved her costume and would frequently bend down to give baby 'roo lots of love! Lots of fun, lots of sugar, and a worn out little kangaroo.

Roomful of Characters!

At Kate's school they had a Harvest Festival Party and the kids dressed in their Halloween costumes for the day. They were so funny! Raggedy Ann & Superman were so cute! I can't believe the Kangaroo costume survived a day at school. (I didn't get pictures of Abby Caddaby & Monkey.) When I picked up Kate, the kids were bouncing off the walls at the end of the day from all the sugar!

Superman is so serious.

Hometown Fair

Last Sunday, we had the annual Hometown Fair in our neighborhood and Grandmama & Tim joined us. Kate rode her first ride in the swings and was waving at Grandmama from the ride. It was lots of fun at the fair!

The Pumpkin Patch

We took Kate to the Pumpkin Patch this morning. When we first arrived, it was rainy, cold and windy. We were tempted to turn around and head back to Birmingham, but once it stopped raining, the sun came out and was a great morning to pick pumpkins! Kate had lots of fun checking out everything. We ran into the Etheridges & Thompsons while we were there and tried our best attempts to get a group picture.

Going for a Ride

Kate took Pig, Bear and Company on a ride around the house. After the fourth lap, I think all of the babies were tired of cruising.

ELMO!

Kate and I went to see the Sesame Street-Elmo Live show at the BJCC on Saturday morning. She had a blast. It took her a minute to figure out what was going on, but she was mesmerized by all of the characters. Every now and then, she would take a break from eating and watching the show to point out Elmo to me.

Taking in the show (and a snack)!

Waving bye-bye to all of the characters at the end of the show.

Movin' On Up

Kate's 18 months old today and has a big day today! She's moving from the Wobbler Class to the Toddlers Class at school today. In the toddlers class, it's goodbye to diapers and sippy cups, hello to pull-ups, potties, and plastic cups. My baby is getting too big too fast! I was trying to get a quick picture of her this morning, and what you see is typical Kate...pulling out hair bows and playing with the tv before school/work.

Princess Parties and Pigtails

Last night was Laura Ann's 3rd birthday party and there were princesses everywhere! Daniel was quite the Prince Charming with his cape! Kate let me do pigtails and actually left them alone. She had so much fun and loved her tutu. She was quite the party girl entertaining and staying up way past her bedtime. Laura Ann's face was priceless when Cinderella arrived. They had lots of fun making princess crowns and letting Cinderella do their makeup. There was also a Princess Parade and Kate LOVED the blue convertible. Every chance she'd get, she'd run outside and try to get in. We had lots of fun & hope Laura Ann had a great Princess Party!

Look What I Did At School Today!

Every night before Kate's bath, we sit her on the potty just to get her used to the idea and not really expecting her to go on the potty. Well, she surprised us Monday night and went on the potty for the first time! We thought it was just a fluke, but yesterday, Kate came home with a "Certificate of Using the Potty" at school! Yea Kate!
