Kate loves to "cook" in her kitchen. She wears her oven mit around the house all of the time. She always taste tests what she's cooking and always has a resounding, "Mmmm."
Gran came to see Kate on Saturday and I finally came to terms that it was time for Kate to get her first haircut. After 21 months, I guess it was about time. Kate didn't seem to mind a bit. Gran gave her a spray bottle to play with and she was highly entertained by spritzing herself in the face every couple of minutes. Another sad reminder that Kate is growing up too fast. Bye-bye to the sweet little baby curls.
Kate got her first shiner tonight. She hit her face on her little table while she was trying to pick up a crayon off the floor. I have a feeling it's going to be black & blue by the morning. Unfortunately, I'm sure this is just the first of many bumps & bruises to come.
Claire had her 2nd birthday party at I Jump this morning. All I can say is: WOW! I have no idea how the kids had that much energy, but Sam and I were worn out by the time it was over. Kate had lots of fun going down the big slide with Sam and she finally warmed up to going in the bouncy maze by herself. Thanks for having such a great birthday party Claire!
All of the Birmingham schools were closed today due to the threat of snow, but all we had at our house was cold, sleet. We couldn't go outside today, so I decided to bring out a Christmas present that we haven't played with yet, PLAY-DOH! Kate had so much fun and it occupied her for almost an hour and a half. It is our new rainy day, go-to toy!
