Summer Reading Program

Kate decided to start her own summer reading program. She "read" every book she could find downstairs.

Two Little Girls

We met the Lathams out for dinner Saturday night, then back to our house so Kate and Anna Kate could play together. Those little girls had so much fun playing. We'll definitely have to get those two together more often! It won't be long until baby Latham will be joining in on the fun!

We're Back....

....but we'd rather not be! If it wasn't for missing Kate, I really don't think we would come back. Sam and I had our 2nd annual trip to Anguilla this past week. It was 5 days of an amazing beach, incredible food, and pure relaxation! If you're ever looking for an island getaway, we highly recommend! Hopefully, we'll get to take a 3rd annual trip....

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Since Sam and I are going to be on vacation on Saturday (his actual birthday), we decided to do birthday cake/presents tonight with Kate. Wow, three birthdays in one week! We have been on a sugar-high since Monday. While Sam was out golfing today, I made Sam's favorite, a homemade red velvet cake. I think Kate enjoyed it as much as Sam did. Happy Birthday Sam!

Happy Birthday Daniel!

We celebrated Daniel's 6th birthday on Saturday. I can't believe it's been six years already! Kate had a blast playing on Daniel & Laura Ann's new swing set and eating lots of yummy Toy Story cupcakes. Happy Birthday Daniel!

Ever since Kate's birthday in April, she has been BIG into birthdays! She's old enough to realize what goes along with a birthday: presents, cake, candles, singing, balloons, etc. and loves every aspect. Get ready Daniel, Kate's pretty pumped about your birthday on Saturday!

Weekend with Friends

Our friends Andrew, Lindsey and sweet baby Blake were in town for Memorial weekend and it was so good to catch up with everyone over the weekend. We miss the Browns and hope they come back to visit soon! On Memorial Day, the Etheridges came and met us at the pool.

Our New Neighbor

Last weekend, we had a new neighbor move into our backyard....she goes by the name of "Bunny Rabbit". This bunny is so comfortable in its new home, that there are times even Mattie doesn't scare it off. Kate loves Bunny Rabbit! Every morning before school and right when we get home, we check the backyard to see if Bunny is hopping around. Kate even told Miss Meagan and Miss Katie all about her bunny this morning at school (how it's brown, eats grass, has big ears, and hops back home in the bushes). It's been consuming our household for the past week.
