Tending The House

Kate surprises me everyday with what she comes up with. There are days where she runs with all the boys at school picking up lizards and dead bugs, then there are days like this, where she's all girl. We found her upstairs with all her jewelry on, wearing high heels and cooking in her kitchen.

Cool Chick

Kate wears her "shades" not only in the car, but also all over the house. She loves, loves, loves her Tinkerbell sunglasses. Gotta stay cool! (Excuse the busted lip in the photo!)

Happy Birthday Gran & Papa!

We celebrated Gran & Papa's birthday a couple of weeks ago at the James' house. We had such a good meal and the chocolate cake was definitely Kate's favorite!

I thought running around half-naked and playing dress-up was just something that my niece and nephew did. However, there must be something in the Compton family gene pool!

Kate's class was learning about the letter "I" at school, therefore explaining the Indian headdress in the middle of August.

While Gran & Papa stayed at our house, they helped show Kate how much fun it is to play in the rain and catch raindrops. I'm not sure who had more fun - Kate or Papa. Too bad Papa wouldn't let me take his picture!

A Little Surprise

During the rough week of Sam's surgery, Kate got a little package in the mail from Grandpa & Linda to help her through the week. It was such a nice, unexpected surprise for her. Thanks so much for thinking of us!

Back from a Hiatus

As most of you know, our little household has been turned upside down over the past month. To say that it has been chaotic would be a drastic understatement. However, I think things have settled down somewhat for at least a few weeks. I finally got a chance to catch my breath and upload a few pictures from the last 5 weeks.
